In Indore, on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a pledge has been taken to plant 51 lakh saplings in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. Under this campaign, a target of planting 11 lakh saplings in a day was set on Sunday. The people of Indore planted saplings throughout the day. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present on this occasion and he also planted saplings in the Revati Range of BSF. By Sunday evening, Indore succeeded in setting a new record. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava were awarded certificates by the Guinness Book of World Records.
