Up by 10.6% moved the industrial production in the country in July this year, compared to the corresponding index of July 2023, while especially the production of the manufacturing industries increased by 10.2%.
As announced by Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT)the general index of industrial production showed an increase of 10.6% in July 2024 compared to the corresponding index in July 2023, against a decrease of 1.7% noted in the corresponding comparison in 2023 to 2022.

This increase came from the following changes in the indicators of individual industry sectors:
From the increase:
- By 14.5% of the electricity supply index.
- By 10.2% of the manufacturing index. This development was mainly contributed by the increases in the production of tobacco products (39.6%), in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment (33%), in the manufacture of electrical equipment (22.4%), in the printing and reproduction of pre-recorded media ( 21.1%) and in the manufacture of computers, electronic and optical products (18.5%).
- By 3.4% of the water supply index.
From the reduction:
- By 1.9% of the mines-quarries index.
The average General Index of Industrial Production for the period January – July 2024, compared to the corresponding index for the period January – July 2023, showed an increase of 7.2%.
The seasonally adjusted General Index of Industrial Production for the month of July 2024, compared to the corresponding index for June 2024, showed an increase of 1.7%.
