Inês Curado e Helder Agapito they became parents for the first time on October 4, 2017. Four months after they moved in together, Mel, who is now six years old. In conversation with Julia Pinheiro for the program ‘Júlia’, on SIC, the couple spoke about making a dream come true.
“It was the biggest dream of my life and that makes it the most important thing”, said the actor from ‘Senhora do Mar’. However, choosing a name for the girl was no easy task. “Mel was not allowed in Portugal because it was a masculine name“said the actress who is also part of the SIC soap opera.

“She had a first name and has since forgotten it. She had Mel as a second name, but we left the note that we were completely against that first name. I always told Hélder that before she started school the list would be updated and it would be allowed (…) When she was eight months old the list was updated. Mel became a permitted name”he added.
