In a fortnight, millions of children will happily discover the gifts that Santa Claus has brought them. And this year, good news, the bill will not be too painful for his finances. Between January and mid-November, all networks combined, the average price of a toy is 16.35 euros, or +2.8% compared to last year, according to the research company Circana.

Inflation, which was 6% in 2022 in this sector, “is no longer a subject, in particular because the cost of containers – many products come from Asia – has fallen significantly in one year”, specifies Frédérique Tutt , analyst at Circana.
