There was a sweet smell of fresh leeks that morning in the village hall of Hazebrouck (North), one of the 41 distribution points for solidarity baskets in the department. Carefully lined up, these flocked fabric baskets from “Mon basket du Nord”, named after the operation, await the first beneficiaries. They are filled with potatoes, celery, leeks, eggs, pasta, milk, pears, apples and locally cooked dishes.
