“It is no longer tenable, even though the snow conditions are average to good. The balance point is very high, and we have not been able to reach it for three years. Above all, we do not have the flexibility that a private sector can have in its management,” he continues.
For this winter, outside of school holidays, part of the area will be closed. In order to limit payroll, only the upper part of the Nordic area will be groomed, and there will no longer be a ski patroller on site. If necessary, those from the Alpine domain will be called in for reinforcement. This season should be the last in charge of the municipality, which hopes to be able to sell the site to a private investor in 2024. The announcement should come out in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the opening of the station is scheduled for this Saturday, December 23.
