Influencer Victoria Paris was furious: the airline Air France had lost her luggage. So she called on her fans to put pressure on the airline.

It happens again and again that after flights the luggage does not arrive directly at the destination or at home. A circumstance that is annoying for travelers, but which can often not be changed – and with which you are not alone. One influencer, however, took the problem very personally.

Victoria Paris is followed by 1.7 million people on TikTok and more than 300,000 on Instagram. The It girl from New York started posting fashion videos from her tiny apartment during the lockdown and has since garnered a huge following. She now used her many followers to put pressure on the airline Air France. After a flight from New York to Lisbon, she had not delivered the 24-year-old’s luggage in time.

Followers put the pressure on – Air France delivers suitcases the next day

The angry influencer then shot a video with drastic words: “We will wage war against them,” she wrote. “You” means in this case: the airline. With an Airtag, she was able to track where her luggage was: at an airport in France rather than in Lisbon.

And as ordered, their fans flooded Air France’s social media appearances, reports the “Business Insider”. In fact, this approach seemed to be fruitful: just a day later, the influencer posted another video – this time in a triumphant tone. “People say that bullying is useless. But after thousands of comments on Air France’s Instagram and TikTok pages, the suitcases are coming back to mom,” she says happily. Otherwise it often takes weeks for lost luggage to find its way back to its owner – so it’s quite possible that in this case the public pressure from the followers really accelerated the process.
