Alzheimer Café Breukelen-Loenen Hosts Information Evening for Caregivers and Individuals with Dementia
Breukelen, Netherlands – The volunteers of the Alzheimer Café Breukelen-Loenen are pleased to invite caregivers and individuals with dementia to attend an information evening on September 5, 2023. The event aims to address the challenges of when living at home with dementia is no longer possible and provide guidance on available options and procedures.
During the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects, including what to do if there is no recording location available for their loved ones, the process of registering for a waiting list in a healthcare institution, and what steps to take when admission can no longer be postponed.
Nancy Brouwer, a care mediator associated with care mediation de Vechtstreek, will be the speaker for the event. With her expertise, she will navigate attendees through the complex world of abbreviations such as PGB, WLZ, CIZ, WMO, and explain how different types of care are financed. This informative session will equip individuals with valuable knowledge and help them navigate the challenges they may face when living at home is no longer possible for a person with dementia. The event encourages an interactive environment, allowing attendees to ask questions and engage in discussions.
The information evening will take place at the location of the Zorggroep de Vechtstreek foundation, De Aa 50, 3621 VV in Breukelen, specifically at Restaurant de Meander. The program will begin promptly at 7:30 PM, and attendees are invited to arrive from 7:00 PM to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.
