San Salvador. Ingrid Ramos, player for San Marcelino in the Beach Soccer League (LNF), received certification as a sports instructor from the LaLiga, Values and Opportunity Program.
The soccer player, originally from San Juan Nonualco, La Paz, said that “it is a very nice opportunity for those of us who like sports, we have been athletes and today I have to be on the other side, directing children. It is an opportunity that we have taken responsibly.”
Ramos is a player for San Marcelino, champion team of the third edition of the Beach Soccer League, organized by INDES. She also plays 11-a-side soccer and is part of the Águila women’s team.
“I already completed a degree in physical education at the university and after being an athlete we are going to stay in another role, as a monitor. This opportunity that they are giving us means a lot and we are going to take advantage of it because this accreditation is not given to just anyone,” Ingrid commented.
Ramos, like his fellow instructors, accumulated 235 training hours in the topics of Physical Preparation, PRO Grassroots Soccer Monitor, Sports Scouting and Trainer of Trainers.
Another of the certified monitors was Milton Aranda Luna, from Cantón El Carrizal in San Simón, Morazán, who expressed feeling fulfilled for having the opportunity to work with children and schools, “that is very important and the work is going to be done for us.” easier,” said the physical education teacher at the Educational Complex of the El Carrizal canton.
“You have to like it, then update yourself with the methodology that LaLiga has, this will make it easier for us to work with children on the fields and develop not only athletes, but whole people,” he concluded.
