Sulur: Plantation of 3 thousand tree saplings has started in Pappampatti panchayat area. In order to increase the green area in Pappampatti panchayat, it has been decided to plant saplings in reserve sites and towns. Along with the panchayat administration, Coimbatore Central Cooperative Bank’s Pappampatty branch, AVM, clinic, volunteers and organizations have joined in this work. In the first phase, more than 500 trees were planted in Sudha Garden and Shankari Nagar near Ayodhya Puram. Saplings of Neem, Bangai, Novel, Spear and Fruit and Flower species were planted. Central Cooperative Bank Additional Registrar Indumati, Assistant General Manager Meenambikai, Pappampatty Branch Manager Balachandran, volunteers Nagaraj and others participated and planted the saplings.
