* Statement by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior Prisco:*
“I would like to express my closeness and my most sincere wishes for a speedy recovery.
recovery to the Fire Brigade team leader Mariotti and the three volunteers
of the Civil Protection of Rome Capital who were injured in the extinguishing
of a fire today in Rome in the Cinecittà area. I trust that they are at most
soon discharged to return safely to their families and to service.
Thanks once again to all the rescue workers who worked
with courage and professionalism to tame the fire that broke out in the area
Cinecittà and also to the medical personnel who promptly intervened on site
to take care of the wounded, as well as that of the hospital
Sant’Eugenio to whom the rescuers who were burned are entrusted. They are in
contact with Commander De Acutis to inform me about the conditions of the
injured and through him I sent teams to the operators
intervened in Torre Spaccata a message of closeness and affection”.
