The Polish Iga Swiatek will give “more info in the next few dayson the injury to the right thigh which forced her to retire from the Rome tournament on Wednesday, ten days before the Roland-Garros tournament which she won twice and of which she is a big favorite.

Holder of the title at Roland-Garros, the 21-year-old Polish woman gave up two games everywhere in the third set, after winning the first 6-2 and losing the second in the decisive game (7/3). It was during this tie-break, on a run in defensive position, that Swiatek seemed to be hurt.
Swiatek was a two-time defending champion in the Italian capital. Roland-Garros will take place from May 28 to June 11 in Paris.
