Eintracht secures the⁣ lead in the table – ⁤but there are bitter moments in the celebration of victory: two national players have to go‌ out due to injuries.

The Bundesliga ⁤footballers from Eintracht frankfurt are almost certain to be top of the‍ table at Christmas. The ⁤Frankfurt team won 3-0 (0-0) at the start of the second half of the season against newly promoted FC ‍Carl⁢ Zeiss Jena. Carlotta Wamser (68th minute), Remina Chiba (86th) and national player Laura Freigang (89th) scored the⁤ goals.

In order to⁣ push Eintracht out ⁢of ⁣first place before Christmas, defending champions FC Bayern need a win by twelve goals at home against 1. ⁢FFC Turbine Potsdam on Sunday (from 2 p.m./MagentaSport).

The clearly favored Frankfurt team ⁤had a lot of‌ ball possession in Jena in the first half, ‍but the SGE did not have a great ⁢chance against the strongly defending hosts. In addition, striker nicole Anyomi had to be ⁤substituted with an‌ injury in ‌the 40th minute. Even after the break,Eintracht⁢ initially struggled.

The‍ doublet that came into the game for Anyomi saved‍ the ⁤Hessians. Chiba and Freigang made⁢ the decision in the final ⁤phase.‌ Shortly beforehand, though, national player Sophia Kleinherne also had ⁤to go out due to an⁢ injury. Tears ran down the central defender’s face, but she was able to walk off the⁤ field‌ on her own.

After the conclusion of the 12th matchday‍ on Monday,⁤ the league will go into an almost six-week break. Eintracht only gets back into the action‍ at ‍the beginning of February with a home ⁢game against bayer Leverkusen.
