jpnn.comBANDUNG – Sad news has enveloped the extended family of the Persib Bandung team.
Team doctor Raffi Ghani died on Monday (23/12) evening.
This information was first reported by Persib Media Officer (MO) Jatnika Sadili at around 22.22 WIB.
Through a short message in the WhatsApp group for media crew, Jatnika informed that Dr Raffi Ghani had died at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RS), Bandung City.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. The Persib team doctor, Doctor Rafi Ghani, has passed away, Monday 23 December 2024 at RSHS.”
“May his sins be forgiven for the deceased and all his good deeds will be accepted. May Allah SWT elevate his status and place him in the best place by His side. Amen Allahumma Aamiin,” said the message written by MO.
Official Persib also conveyed the sad news via uploads on Instagram @persib.
Uploading several photo collages of Raffi Ghani, Persib expressed deep condolences.
“Our deepest condolences on the passing of Persib team doctor Muhammad Raffi Ghani.”
“Thank you for your extraordinary dedication and loyalty with Persib,” quoted the Instagram account @persib, Tuesday (24/12/2024).
Before he died, Dr Raffi underwent treatment at a hospital in Bandung City.
Raffi Ghani has been part of the team nicknamed Maung Bandung since 2009.
The last time, Raffi accompanied the team on the sidelines was during the match in Week 14 of Liga 1 2024/25 against Malut United at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Friday (13/12).
The 55 year old doctor even managed to treat Dedi Kusnandar who suffered a fibula fracture.
The late Raffi Ghani was laid to rest at the funeral home in Bandung City and the funeral is planned at Sirna Galih TPU at 09.00 WIB. (mcr27/jpnn)
