U.S. police have recovered 125 snakes from the home of a deceased man in Maryland.

Snakes were swarming around this person. Police said they recovered a total of 125 snakes, including a 14-foot yellow Burmese mountain snake.

A neighbor said he had not seen the person for more than a day and had decided to visit him. He also mentioned that he saw the person lying unconscious on the ground. An investigation is underway into whether the deceased was bitten by a snake and why he had so many snakes.

Police said there was no evidence of abuse. The man’s body was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s office in Baltimore for autopsy.
