Islamabad: India’s second nuclear submarine INS Arighat has joined the Navy. This is the second Indian-built nuclear submarine of the Arihant class. Arihant was included in the Indian Navy’s fleet in the year 2009. After handing over the submarine to the Navy, India’s Defense Ministry said that this submarine will help in establishing strategic balance and peace in the region while strengthening India’s nuclear triad. The threat of this nuclear submarine of India has also reached neighboring countries China and Pakistan. Pakistani political commentator Qamar Cheema has talked about this submarine on his YouTube channel. He has also talked about India’s impact on China and Pakistan.
Qamar Cheema says that by inducting this submarine into the Indian Navy, India has not only increased its strength but has also given a big message to the neighbouring countries (China-Pakistan). Cheema said, ‘India is constantly increasing its military strength. Rajnath Singh also visited some institutions during his recent US tour to increase the strength of the Navy. After the induction of this submarine into the Indian Navy, it is clear that Delhi is competing with China. It is increasing its strength to compete with China.’
There is no direct threat to Pakistan
Cheema further said that India is increasing its stockpile of nuclear weapons. This should also be seen as an attempt to maintain regional balance. China may have more such submarines but India has tried to show that it is not sitting idle either. Cheema believes that this submarine of India is not a problem for Pakistan. India had nuclear submarines earlier as well. India has increased its strength because China has often been threatening India in the sea.
Cheema says that India is committed not to launch a nuclear attack first. Pakistan does not say that it will not launch a nuclear attack first. India and Pakistan say different things in this matter. However, India can also withdraw its commitment of not launching a nuclear attack first in the future. Cheema believes that the relationship between India, Pakistan and China is such that the increase in military power of one country worries the other. This is still happening and will continue in the future as well.
