Coordinated by Mariela Soldano, the Mar Adentro 2023 hybrid artist residency has combined a series of virtual accompaniments by LM Rojas to the groups of selected artists and, now, culminates with the development of a face-to-face exhibition in the Puertas Adentro space in Punta del East, Uruguay.
Puertas Adentro, Casa de Artista, was founded and directed by Mariela Soldano, visual artist and cultural manager. The proposed mission is to strengthen contemporary art practices through the generation of a network between international and local artists linked to the city of Punta del Este, wishing to become a reference space for links from different countries, promoting the practice artistic.
Among the artists participating in this international exhibition, belonging to various countries, are Clara Collet (Uruguay), Lorena Morales (Venezuela), Paola Correa (Colombia), Sarabel Santos Negrón (Puerto Rico) and Dora Román (Spain), who has presented the project for this residence M(Archetypes)a critical vision of the commercial slogans used by brands, based on the archetypes defined by Carl Jung a hundred years ago.
