After the wedding, Boris Becker and Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro went to Capri. Now the tennis star is giving an insight into their first vacation as a married couple.
A few weeks ago, Boris Becker tied the knot with risk analyst Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro at a dream wedding in Italy. On September 14th, the two married in the posh town of Portofino, a former fishing village on the Italian Riviera. The ceremony took place in an old monastery with 85 guests.
The bride and groom gave “Vogue” magazine an exclusive insight into the wedding, which published photos from the day. The 56-year-old let his fans take part in the honeymoon that followed. He posted a video with private recordings on Instagram.
“The food, the weather, the people… We enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon,” wrote Boris Becker on the post with impressions of the island of Capri. They show the two newlyweds as relaxed and detached as they rarely are in public. The former professional athlete and the risk analyst repeatedly cuddle up to each other, kiss and beam into the camera.
Boris Becker recently raved in an interview about how happy he was to “finally call Lilian my wife.” The 33-year-old’s commitment to sticking together on wedding vows “on good days and bad days” has become even more important to him. “We certainly had very difficult days because my personal situation was very challenging,” the tennis star alluded to his trial for insolvency offenses in 2022.
He was sentenced to two and a half years in prison and spent a total of eight months behind bars. Lilian stuck by him and stayed at his side. This is Boris Becker’s third marriage: He was married to Barbara Becker from 1993 to 2001 and had two children, Noah and Elias. In 2009 he married Lilly Becker, from whose relationship his third son Amadeus comes. He also has a daughter, Anna Ermakova, with the Russian-British model Angela Ermakova.
