jpnn.comJAKARTA – Former Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto, has officially been appointed as Banten Police Chief.
The two-star general of the Indonesian National Police replaces Inspector General Abdul Karim who now holds a new position as Head of the Indonesian National Police Propam Division.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led the handover of the Banten Regional Police Chief from Inspector General Abdul Karim to Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto.
The event was held at the Rupatama Building, National Police Headquarters, Jakarta on Monday (29/7).
The change in the position of the Banten Police Chief was stated in Telegram Letter Number ST/1236/VI/KEP/2024 which was signed by the Assistant Chief of Police for Human Resources (HR) Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo on June 26, 2024.
Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Senior Commissioner Didik Hariyanto, said that the job transfers were carried out in order to improve performance in preparation for securing the 2024 Pilkada.
“In order to prepare for early regional election security,” he said.
In addition, said Kombes Didik, job transfer is a process that usually occurs in organizations with the aim of improving performance and as a means of promotion in the career development system. (mcr34/jpnn)
