More than 1,000 students set a world record by playing the statue game inspired by the squid game. More than 1,415 students from the University of California, Irvine participated in the Red Light and Green Light categories, setting a world record. Students attended the game Wednesday at Aldrich Park. In 2015, Oregon’s Willamette University broke the record with 1,203 participants.
