The social network Instagram on November 24 began to warn users wishing to subscribe to the account of the Russian actress Maria Shukshina about the dissemination of false information by this user.

“This account has repeatedly published deliberately false information, which was checked by independent experts to compare the facts, and also violated the norms of the community,” the message of the social network, which appears when trying to subscribe to Shukshina’s page, says.

On November 23, Denis Protsenko, the head physician of hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka, and other doctors of Moscow hospitals wrote an open letter in which they invited a number of well-known opponents of vaccination on an excursion to the red zone. Among those invited was Maria Shukshina, who criticized the Russian vaccine and questioned herd immunity.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, spoke out in support of the doctors who wrote a letter to anti-vaccinators. She said she would support any initiative that would help convince Russians that vaccination is the salvation from a deadly disease.

The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov also drew attention to the initiative. He expressed the hope that the authority of the doctors who signed the letter, who have been fighting COVID-19 and saving lives for two years, will help change the opinion of anti-vaccines about vaccination.

On November 24, Roszdravnadzor reported to Izvestia about the initiation of 39 criminal cases against anti-vaccinators.

Against the backdrop of a worsening epidemiological situation, the Russian authorities are urging residents to get vaccinated in order to protect their health and take care of their loved ones. Citizens are vaccinated for free. Five vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, which became the first vaccine against COVID-19 in the Russian Federation and the world, as well as Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, EpiVacCorona-N and KoviVak.

All relevant information on the situation with the coronavirus is available on the websites of stopcoronavirus.rf and accessvsem.rf, as well as by the hashtag #WeV Together. Coronavirus hotline: 8 (800) 2000-112.
