Chaired by Mohammed Haitami, the jury is composed of Mohammed Hamiddouche, Abdellatif Lambaraa, Meriem Oudghiri, Zouhair Daoudi, Abdessamad Moutie, El Houssain Hanchaoui, Malika Oum Hani, Hayat Gharbaoui, Mohamed Laghrous and Abdellah Taleb Ali.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Bensaid indicated that this edition will be the last to be organized in accordance with the provisions of the current decree governing this distinction.

The next edition, he said, will be organized in accordance with the new decree drawn up by the ministry on the basis of a set of remarks made by previous juries, particularly concerning the increase in the amount of the prize in all categories.

For his part, Mr. Haitami announced, in a statement to the press at the end of this meeting, that the number of applications during this edition reached 109, covering the categories: television prize (investigation and documentaries), radio prize, written press, electronic press, press agency, Hassani journalistic production, Amazigh journalistic production, photography and caricature.

The jury will work hard to announce the winners at the ceremony to be held on December 15, he said, noting that the composition of the jury for the 21st edition is “balanced, whether in terms of female presence or media skills representing the different national media.”

The Grand National Press Prize, organized every year on the occasion of the National Information Day, covers several categories, namely the television prize (investigation and documentary film), the radio prize, the written press prize, the electronic press prize, the press agency prize, the Amazigh journalistic production prize, the Hassani journalistic production prize, the photography prize, the investigative journalism prize, the caricature prize, as well as an honorary prize in tribute to a Moroccan personality from the media world who has contributed to the evolution of the national media landscape and the consecration of the noble principles of the profession.
