The ‘Special Committee for State Affairs Investigation to uncover the truth about charges of rebellion through the declaration of martial law by the Yoon Seok-yeol government’ adopted President Yoon Seok-yeol as a witness for the hearing.

On the afternoon of the 14th, the special committee submitted an agenda regarding the adoption of general witnesses for hearings and declared that it was passed with 11 in favor and 7 against out of 18 present. The witnesses included 76 people, including President Yoon, former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, and former Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min.

On this day, prior to the decision to adopt witnesses, the ruling and opposition parties fought and shouted. While lawmakers of the ruling People Power Party opposed the bill, the agenda was handled by the opposition party. The special committee is scheduled to hold its first hearing on the 22nd.
