jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that it is continuing to process the alleged cattle import case at the Ministry of Agriculture (KPK).

The KPK conveyed this in response to the decision of the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the anti-corruption agency which decided that Nurul Ghufron had violated the code of ethics by intervening in the mutation process of a state civil servant (ASN) within the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

“What is clear is that up to now there has been no information about stopping the investigation for the case that was previously reported (the cattle procurement investigation),” said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika in her statement, Saturday (7/9).

According to Tessa, the legal steps taken by the Corruption Eradication Committee will not be affected by Ghufron’s decision.

“So, it has no impact on the ongoing investigation process regarding the verdict that has been read out,” explained Tessa.

The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has decided that Deputy Chairman of the KPK Nurul Ghufron has violated the code of ethics as an anti-corruption agency employee by intervening in the transfer process of a state civil servant (ASN) within the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

In early December 2023, Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) Nurul Ghufron was reported to the KPK Supervisory Board regarding alleged abuse of authority related to communication with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono.

The communication was carried out to assist the transfer of a civil servant from the Ministry of Agriculture named Andi Dwi Mandasari from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Agriculture to the BPTP of the Ministry of Agriculture in Malang, East Java.

According to Tessa, the legal steps taken by the Corruption Eradication Committee will not be affected by Ghufron’s decision.
