Intel announces the 13th generation processors – Raptor Lake, which were developed and launched and some of them were also manufactured in Israel

by time news

About two weeks ago, the official launch was held in Israel in front of dozens of journalists and analysts from all over the world. The new processors will provide strong and optimal performance in all areas of computing with an improvement of up to 15% in work with a single core and up to 40% in multithreading compared to the previous generation

Exactly one year after launching its successful 12th generation processors, Intel announces its new and advanced 13th generation Core processor series, codenamed Raptor Lake. Similar to the “Elder Lake” family from the previous generation, the new generation of processors is blue-white pride; Its development was led by the best minds of Intel Israel engineers who manage to provide year after year a competitive, optimal and high-quality response to the needs of the burning chip market that is experiencing the most significant technological acceleration ever.

Intel’s new generation processors will provide a significant improvement in performance even though they use the same technology – Intel 7, which was used in the previous generation. Improvement in all areas of computing – from desktop gaming to thin and light laptops. They will improve performance across a variety of workloads and according to customer demand and give all types of users, from beginners to experts, the best and fastest overall experience in the world.

Intel Core13 gen processors are equipped with a modern and extremely powerful gaming platform for a maximum gaming experience that surpasses any other offering. Their unique features enable media streaming and recording at speeds of up to 5.8 GHz, the highest of all desktop processors, and an improvement of up to 15% in single core performance. The content creators will benefit from a significant leap in performance thanks to the integration of more “efficient” cores (Performance Cores) reaching up to a 40% improvement in multithreading compared to the previous generation, which will be expressed, among other things, in continuous, productive and fluid work across multiple tasks.

With its announcement of the new generation processors, Intel today officially launches its family of desktop processors in the K generation 13 configuration, which was entirely developed with the advanced manufacturing technology Intel 7, and the Intel Z790 chipset. At the head of the group of processors launched today is the Intel Core i9-13900K, the flagship processor of the fastest generation in the world today that provides the most advanced and best desktop experience that consumers need. The desktop K/KF processors in the i5-13600k/KF, i7-13700k/KF and i9-13900K/KF configurations and the Z790 chipset will be available from October 20, 2022[1].

The performance cores in the 13th generation processors, which are part of Intel’s hybrid architecture announced about a year ago as the foundation for the next decade of computing with the company’s highest CPU performance, release the power needed to more efficiently run today’s most demanding games. Thanks to more filaments and cores, alongside the Thread Director[2] of Intel, users will be able to enjoy while playing and in a way free from interruptions and slowdowns from video streams, multitasking, video encoding and more. Intel’s smart and expanded cache memory in the new processors accelerates them to provide better performance and higher FPS.

The connectivity of the new processors is almost 3 times faster than the previous generation. Through the combination of exclusive high-speed channels that are not accessible to other types of devices, Intel’s Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+) provides the freedom to play with smooth and high-quality streaming and an upgraded data transfer rate for a fast and smooth experience. Thanks to a bandwidth of 40 gigabit/s, the Thunderbolt 4 connection makes it possible to play and transfer large game files at an incredible speed similar to that of an internal SSD.

Ran Branson, vice president of the development group Intel Core & Client Development: “I am proud and excited about the launch of another successful and unprecedented processor series in a variety of parameters that was developed at Intel Israel and will provide the answer required today in the global computing market. Intel Core 13 gen processors provide consumers with a significant leap forward in terms of performance, savings, speed and user experience on all levels, and are a direct continuation of the revolution that Intel is leading in the computer industry and the gaming market in particular. Following on from the excellent 12th generation processors that we launched about a year ago, our new generation of processors will give content creators, gamers and novice users the tools and the strong infrastructure they need for the variety of their renewing and increasing needs and at the unprecedented rates we see in the world today. The amazing Intel Israel engineers have worked hard to present a competitive and quality product to the market that offers maximum improvements from generation to generation, exceeds all expectations and further sharpens Intel’s power in driving the next generations of technology.

Blue and white processor

the new 13th generation processor series Intel Global chose to launch in Israel for the first time in the company’s history, further evidence of Israel’s expression of trust and great importance for global society. On the occasion of the launch, an extraordinary delegation of about 90 senior journalists, analysts and influencers from around the world arrived in Israel for 4 days full of advanced technological experiences from Israel.

The official announcement event for the new 13th generation processor series took place in Hall Sheva in Tel Aviv with the participation of Israeli and foreign speakers from the most senior management of the global organization including Yaniv Gerti, CEO of Intel Israel; Shlomit Weiss, CEO of Intel’s global chip development activity; Ran Branson, director of core development and planning for Intel processors for personal computers; Karin Eivshitz Segal, CEO of Intel’s development centers in Israel; Itzik Saylis, director of Intel’s product integration activities in stationary and mobile computers, Mandy Mok, CEO of Intel’s global desktop group; Marcus Piper, director of the global gaming group at Intel and more.

Afterwards, the participants enjoyed first-of-its-kind tours of the Intel laboratories at the Chip Development Center in Haifa (IDC 9) and the pearl of Intel Israel – the chip manufacturing plant in Kiryat Gat that produces the most advanced chips for personal computing and data centers.

Karin Eivshitz Segal, CEO of Intel’s development centers in Israel: “As a company at the forefront of the most profound and significant technological revolutions of the 21st century, Intel is one of the few global companies capable of turning data into a valuable asset for human needs. Intel’s massive processing power drove the global computing revolutions of the previous decades. Today, Intel architecture forms the basis of 80% of computers in the world. Here, from Israel, we create innovations from two lives, for five decades, and are at the forefront of global Intel. COVID-19 has led to unprecedented digitization and digital transformation.
