The highest performing 13th generation Intel processor is the Core i9-13980HX chip. This chip has 24 standard cores, including 8 performance cores for demanding tasks like gaming and 14 efficiency cores for lighter activities like web browsing. The Core i9-13980HX processor has a maximum speed of 5.6GHz, which makes it ideal for users who need a fast and powerful processor for their laptops.
While the Core i9-13980HX’s peak speed of 5.6GHz is impressive, it might be overkill for most consumers. It is important to note that this speed can only be achieved by the performance cores of the chip when they are pushed to their limits. Under normal conditions, the cores operate at 2.2 GHz. For comparison, Apple’s M1 Max, the company’s highest-performing chip, has a clock speed of 3.2GHz, according to Anandtech.
