A 700-square-meter six-story apartment building in China’s central province of Hunan has collapsed. Authorities said at least 39 people were missing and 23 were trapped in the crash.
Rescue operations are being intensified. Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered all efforts to rescue those trapped and injured. According to local media reports, he has ordered a full investigation into the cause of the building accident.
City officials said no casualties had been reported so far and that five people had been rescued from the rubble so far
