Consequences. According to the rescuers’ publication, the collapse caused the section under the jurisdiction of the Chupol canton of the municipality of Santo Tomás Chichicastenango to be completely blocked on both roads.
In this collapse, the authorities have reported that no injured people were reported and a high vehicle load was reported in the sector, so the cleaning of the place was coordinated to enable passage again.
