On April 28, the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, awarded the Road Safety Merit Medal to two of the promoters of the Ibero-American Road Safety Observatory, Verónica Raffo and Felipe Rodríguez.
With these medals, the Ministry of the Interior rewards the contribution of both to the creation and strengthening of the Ibero-American Observatory for Road Safety. In addition, the two winners continue their work in favor of road safety from their respective positions. Verónica Raffo from the World Bank in Latin America, where she is a specialist in global transport infrastructure and focal point for road safety operations, and Felpe Rodríguez from the presidency of the Sustainable Mobility Network 2030.
The general director of Traffic, Pere Navarro, participated in the ceremony, which took place in Argentina at the official residence of the Spanish ambassador in Buenos Aires.
Minister Grande-Marlaska stressed that he insisted on the awarding of medals in Spain’s desire to move “towards an Ibero-American space for road safety that allows us to exchange good practices and experiences.”
