On this occasion, they recalled the strength and sustainability of relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates, under the wise leadership of the leaders of the two countries His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the State of the United Arab Emirates.
Mr. Bensaid congratulated the Emirate of Sharjah for the excellent organization of the Sharjah International Book Fair, a major cultural event due to the great prestige and which, with each new edition, reinforces its advanced international status.
Likewise, Mr. Bensaid recalled that the Emirate of Sharjah has launched a cultural revolution for decades, as a strategic choice aimed at building the human being, so that today it has become a cultural center, not only for the UAE, but for the entire world, which is a source of pride for all.
The minister praised, on behalf of Morocco, the cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries, which has accumulated a record rich in achievements and exchanges, and which should experience even greater development and prosperity.
Morocco’s program as guest of honor includes, among other things, meetings highlighting Morocco-United Arab Emirates cultural cooperation and the book industry in Morocco, as well as exchanges with eminent Moroccan intellectuals, including philosophers, writers, critics, academics as well as writers and poets.
Mounted at the Sharjah Expo Center, the pavilion allows the public to discover Moroccan heritage through conferences, plays, artistic exhibitions, round tables, as well as workshops for children on decoration and weaving. Around 4,000 titles from 25 Moroccan publishing houses are exhibited there.
