International Dog Day, 4 out of 10 Italians live with a 4-legged friend

Almost 8 out of 10 have taken their dog with them on vacation (76%).
What do you spend the most on for your pet’s care? Food (93%) and health (56%). For 86% of dog owners, the vet remains the number one influencer when it comes to making important decisions about the pet’s well-being. 70% would like to have an annual Health Plan that includes unlimited visits (65%) and health insurance to cover expenses (40%).

The average lifespan is about 10 years. depending on the breed which also affects the care that is given to them between diet, physical exercise and veterinary visits. According to experts, small dogs generally have a greater predisposition to greater longevity.
