Considering that education It is a human right, a public good and a responsibility collective and celebrating the role that education plays in peace and development: the United Nations established January 24 as International Education Day.
The great French philosopher and main representative of the Romantic Pedagogical Model, established this proverbial phrase “I don’t know why man, being good by nature, acts evil?” Could it be that the answer to this question lies in the bad education that human beings have received three centuries ago? Well, there we have the two world wars, the pollution of Planet Earth, extreme poverty, human trafficking, the conquest of space, alcoholism, drug addiction, child prostitution, racism, segregation, exclusion, corruption, religious intolerance, and a long etcetera.
On the occasion of this third celebration of the International Education Day, the poet, writer and educational researcher Umar Klert Ghov, has created the lyrics of the World Education Anthem; whose content highlights the importance of education in the peaceful coexistence of human beings, alluding to key words such as: peace, respect, concord, youth to study is to succeed, freedom, love and, of course, the reiteration of the noun education. It is worth noting that this educational researcher will participate as a special guest in the International Pedagogy Congress 2021, which is a source of pride for Ecuador. (01)
