Interpretation of Silver Line Court Permission Nonsense: VD Satheesan – KERALA – POLITICS

by time news

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan said in a Facebook post. The Division Bench allowed the Government to conduct the survey only as part of the Community Impact Assessment. The decision was based on the government’s assurance that the land would not be acquired without the approval of the Ministry of Railways for the current alignment.
Approval or construction permission for the Silver Line project was never considered by the court. The Opposition also agrees with the High Court’s observation that the people have a right to know the land acquisition process and its implications. The Leader of the Opposition said that it was a deception of the people to misrepresent the decision to continue the survey as if the project had been approved.
