Kannur: A policeman is being questioned in the Kannavam Haridas murder case. Suresh, the CPO of Kannavam station, is being questioned. On the day of the incident, the accused in the case had called Thalassery BJP constituency president and ward councilor Lijesh. The phone rang around one o’clock at night. According to police, the suspect was questioned by a team of investigators when he asked CPO Suresh about the phone conversation.
Suresh had deleted the call details from the phone. But after Lijesh’s arrest, when the phone details were checked, it was found that Suresh and Lijesh had talked for about four minutes at one o’clock in the night. It is learned that CPO Suresh is a relative of Lijesh. He said the number changed when Liege was questioned.
Haridas murder; One more person in custody, high-level meeting led by police
Kannur: Another person has been remanded in custody in the Haridas Murder Case in Thalassery New Mahi Punnol. Nijil Das, a native of Punnol, was arrested. Four RSS-BJP activists, including BJP Thalassery constituency president and Thalassery municipal ward councilor Lijesh, were arrested in the case. He was arrested on charges of conspiracy. It is alleged that Haridas was killed by a group of two bikers led by Atmajan. Police say political animosity towards the victim was the reason for the violence and the murder. Meanwhile, the postmortem report said that excessive bleeding was the cause of death of Haridas. More than twenty cuts. The left leg was amputated below the knee. 4 cuts on the right leg. The postmortem report said he may have been attacked with a machete and heavy rain.
