You yourself are self-reliant and talented, but being a girl, what is the thing that bothers you the most?
-I myself have never felt inferior, because I do not hesitate to put forward my point of view. But I have many married friends. They are newly married, but whenever business or some important decisions are taken in their house, they are not included. Whereas they are educated and intelligent. Even if they put forward their points, they are told that why are you speaking in between? You are the woman of the house, do not speak in between. This thing bothers me a lot. I tell my friends that they have to put forward their point. Then they raised their voice and today their opinion is taken, they are given importance. There is a common perception about girls that they will not have knowledge or they will be unaware of those things. But girls will have to put forward their point, prove their point, only then they will be able to change this perception.

Even if women put forward their points, they are told, “Why are you interrupting? You are a woman of the house, don’t interrupt.” This thing bothers me a lot.

You are quite active on social media, you have many followers, but everyone knows that social media is a double-edged sword, how do you handle it?
-To be honest, trolls don’t affect me that much and even if they do, I don’t pay much attention to them. I change my mind. I have control over my mind. I enjoy being on social media and sometimes I also take a break. I like to dress up and post. If I post a good post, my fans become happy.
I heard that after ‘Bigg Boss’ you also went through social anxiety, whereas the general perception is that celebs like to be social?
-That period was such that I started feeling weird about going out. Before that I was doing the serial ‘Udaariyaan’ in Chandigarh for two years. I did not get a chance to go out. I had to shoot every day. I would just sleep, wake up and shoot. I was with the same crew for two years. After that I went to the ‘Bigg Boss’ house and there I stayed with limited people, so when I came out of the house, I started having trouble going out and meeting people. I was not able to go out much then. At that time I would meet my friends and a few people, but that did not affect my work. I continued my work at the same pace. Now everything is fine. I socialize.
I started feeling weird about going out. Before that I was doing the serial ‘Udaariyan’ in Chandigarh for two years. I did not get a chance to go out.

We saw on social media that when you went to a restaurant wearing dirty clothes for one of your projects, the guard stopped you. Recently, a farmer was also stopped from entering a mall because he was wearing a dhoti. How do you view this inequality prevalent in society?
-Yes, this happened to me too and I also heard about the farmer. This is not right. I always believe in equality. I think you should treat everyone equally. What happened to me was that I had booked a product from the mall and I had told that a person would come to collect that product, but when that person reached there to collect the product, he was not allowed to go inside. I asked to let me talk to the security person, then he said that delivery people are not allowed to go inside. I talked to them and explained, then he was allowed to go inside the mall. I felt very bad for that delivery boy that why can’t a delivery boy go to a public place. Then this incident of the farmer came to light and I told my friend that why is this happening? This should not happen.

-These are completely false news. Marriage is not on my mind right now. I am completely focusing on my work. I have denied many times that I am not getting married, then why do people give so much importance to this matter?

How was the experience of working with Tusshar Kapoor in your series 10 June Night?
-Tusshar Kapoor has proved to be a very good co-actor. He is not only a good actor but also a very good person. He is very disciplined and punctual. He is always ready with his lines. We had a lot of fun on the set, but we also worked very hard. I always wanted to work with him and I got this opportunity. The specialty of this story is that it is in a very different kind of thriller space. Every character in it is very interesting. It has a lot of layers. There is mystery, there is fun, so I said yes because of the story and the characters.
