Talking about her experience in the TV show ‘Udaariyaan’, Seema Kapoor says, “Overall, ‘Udaariyaan’ was a good and different experience. I like long format shows because I watch every day and every scene with a new mindset and a new challenge. Long shows make me feel good and excited. I never find long shows boring. Even today, I work with the same enthusiasm as I used to do during Hasratein.”

‘I was also cheated in love’
Seema Kapoor recently revealed those dark pages of her life when she not only faced harassment and exploitation from her mother, but was also cheated in love. Talking about that sad phase, she says, ‘Yes, I have gone through child abuse by my mother. I have suffered a lot of beatings and torture from my mother. I also come from a broken family. Due to such circumstances, I started staying away from people because I did not have confidence. I used to feel very dependent and lonely then. I used to be very scared. Due to being tortured by my mother, I became very strict towards myself. And when I was cheated in love, I started thinking of committing suicide.’

‘Spirituality helped me a lot’
How did she handle that bad phase of her life? In response she says, ‘It is a very difficult phase. Sometimes the trauma of your childhood and adolescence stays with you for the rest of your life. But then I gradually became strong. I also learned a lot from the betrayal in love. Due to these bitter experiences of life, I was also attracted towards spirituality. Spirituality gave me a lot of courage. I will tell people that whatever happens in life, do not give up. Nor choose any shortcut. No matter how bad the situation is, there is always a ray of hope. Today I am composed. I have compassion for children, innocent people and animals. In this second innings of career and life, I have many strong roles to play. Many unfulfilled desires have to be fulfilled. Loyalty, honesty, simplicity, true people and good work always inspire me. I hate any kind of mediocre things and like to rise high.’
‘My relationship with Jesus Christ is strong’
Seema considers Jesus to be the true friend of her life. She says, ‘I feel my relationship with Jesus is very strong and I depend only on him for everything. I can open my heart to him and trust him completely. I feel, friendship can be successful only when the feelings and concerns are same for each other, and there is no stabbing in each other’s back. Friends are welcome in my life if they are true and loyal, but if they are double faced, they are a burden and should be discarded immediately. To be honest, I do not make friends easily, I am cautious of people and come close to someone only when I see the possibility of a true friend in him. Therefore, I consider only Jesus as my best friend, because he is always with me, whereas a person can be an enemy tomorrow if he is a friend today.’
