At the age of 20, Trupti Mishra, who has been active in TV for 8 years, learned a lot while rising from a child artist to a lead role. When she realized that she was ready for the lead role, Trupti abandoned all kinds of side roles. Even though he had to wait for many months for this, he finally achieved his destination. These days she is playing the character of Purnima in the TV show ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. The actress, who came to Lucknow recently, may be seen active on social media, but she finds this platform false. She is active on this because of her father, but why is this so, you know in a special conversation with Tripti.

I am 20 years old and have been acting for 8 years.

I am 20 years old and have been acting for eight years. I started working as a child artist. I am not good at studies. I am just average. I have always been dancing and singing songs. In my childhood, I went to a set where a girl of my age was acting. Wondered why I can’t do this. Well, it was a very hasty decision because at that time I was only 12 years old. At that age I could not think about my career, but my parents supported me a lot. Papa kept his work aside for my career and got me a lot of auditions. I used to go with my father after making a list of 10-10 auditions in a day. I am from Mumbai. After giving a lot of auditions, I got my first show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ with Rashmi Sharma and my first lead show was ‘Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein’ with Rashmi Sharma. I am thankful to God that I have reached a stage where I can fulfill my dreams. I can make my parents feel proud that whatever decision I took and the support they gave me, I was successful in it.

pet lovers are good people

I have three Persian cats. Adopted a Persian cat and gave birth to two children. Many people think that cats are mean, but I have to say that they kept me very happy when I was going through my bad times. I also want a dog. If I had my way, I would also keep a monkey because a stomach is a stomach. As you trend them, they will stay with you. If pets love you, they will love you completely. Then there is no question of more or less with them. I care very much for street dogs. They are very innocent. They yearn for love. I think people who love pets are good people.

social media seems fake

I remain active on social media, but my father asks me to do so. I guess I’m not made for this. You’re an artist so you have to be on it, but I just use my phone to talk. Before the Nawabs came to the city, Papa had asked to post the story of flight and Lucknow. Take pictures and post them and tell what is going on there. I don’t like to be fake on social media, so when I feel necessary, I post my own photos. Papa says that two photos must be posted a day. I have a different perspective on social media. I think everyone lives a fake life on this. I am not saying this for everyone but most of them are like this. They may not be happy in life, but will definitely post smiling photos. When I am sad, I disappear from social media. I don’t have to falsely show to the world that I am happy.

Got to learn a lot from ‘Balika Vadhu’. The director of that show was Pradeep Yadav. I have never worked with such a great director like him. He knows what an actor is capable of. How much can he extract from it? It was revealed in that show that the 100% I was giving was only 50%. Then worked harder. From that show we also learned how much can be done by being in front of the screen despite there being no dialogue. I started working on expression. That show made me grow a lot as a person and actor. After Balika Vadhu, I decided that I would play the lead role. I had to sit for six-seven months for this, but I did not lose patience. I refused all the side role offers that came. Just wanted to lead. I was beginning to feel that I was ready.

Now I buy things for dad

There are ups and downs in everyone’s life. Even when my father went down, he did not let any kind of pressure come on me. He fulfilled my wishes by cutting his things. Never let us feel that we don’t have enough money right now to do this. My life remained as it was. I had no responsibility, but at one point I realized how hard my father works. He doesn’t buy anything for himself. Then I took the responsibility of buying things for them, just like they buy for me. I buy things without him even asking. He doesn’t take anything on his birthday, but if I ask for Rs 500, he gives Rs 5,000. I am very spendthrift, but now I understand where to spend and where not to spend. I’ve learned things after spending a lot of money. I believe in living life freely, but now I have learned to maintain balance.

Papa needs to be given a bullet

My father wanted a Bullet so I got him a car, but even today his heart is stuck on the Bullet. We have a bike and a scooter, but he prefers Bullet. This year I will somehow get him the bullet. I, mom and sister have the latest phones, but dad did not. Now somehow I have got him the most expensive phone. When the call came, Papa felt so proud that he could not explain it.

I am not practical in life

I had to work hard to get into the character of Purnima. Actually, there is no satisfaction at all like the full moon. Trupti is of bubbly nature. He always likes to laugh and talk fast but Purnima is the complete opposite. I am not at all practical in life, but he is serious. She speaks only as much as is needed. I got to learn responsibility from the character of Purnima. I feel that if parents are not putting responsibilities in your life, then you will still have to become a responsible person, so that you can take the family forward.
