(24 News) The Division Bench of the Islamabad High Court has issued a written order for the hearing of the intra-court appeal against the decision of the Single Bench on the petitions for change of the Election Tribunal.

Aamir Mughal’s intra-court appeal was declared admissible.

A division bench comprising Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the order after hearing the arguments of advocate Faisal Chaudhry on behalf of petitioner Amir Mughal.

According to the written order issued by the Islamabad High Court, the petitioner’s lawyer argued that the election tribunals are established under Article 225 of the Constitution and the Election Tribunal is established under Article 212 of the Constitution. That the appointment of a judge in the tribunal is not possible without consulting the Chief Justice of the High Court.

It should be noted that the single bench of the Islamabad High Court had ordered the Election Commission to re-decision on the petitions for change of the Election Tribunal, against which PTI leader Aamir Mughal had filed an intra-court appeal.
