‘Haengju’s history, the light that opens the future’… Widely publicizing Haengjusanseong’s historical and cultural content

‘Haengjuga (Street) Art (Night)’ has 23 photo zones with lighting from Daecheopmun, the entrance to Haengjusanseong Fortress, to Haengjudaecheopbi at the top. The MBTI Annals of the Joseon Dynasty photo zone decorated with Joseon Dynasty figures and the related caricature experience add to the fun.

The Haengjusanseong Story Trail compares weapons from Joseon and Japan and provides interesting stories of people from that time. In addition, the ‘Haengjusanseong Moonlight Tour’ with a cultural tourism guide reminds us of its value as a cultural heritage. The program is available for advance reservations on the Goyang City Hall integrated reservation site and is operated eight times a day.

At Chungjangsa Temple, you can always enjoy the media art piece ‘Generate New Goyang’. Based on an agreement with the Hongik University Graduate School’s AI and Real Media Contents Department, artist Yu Hara’s media art, which is a collaboration, provides a splendid sight to see in harmony with the autumn maple trees. In addition, the 15-meter Haengju Battle Monument located at the top of Haengjusanseong Fortress will present media art with the concept of ‘Light of the Future’ throughout the festival period.

Meanwhile, ‘Haengjugae (街) Art Story (夜)’ was selected as a new project for the 2025 National Heritage Night Tour Contest, and plans are in place to continuously develop differentiated night tourism content unique to Haengjusanseong Fortress.
