The Sleeker and Smaller PlayStation 5 Slim Now Available in Israel
After the announcement last month, Sony has finally released the updated and smaller edition of the PlayStation 5 in Israel. The new PlayStation 5 Slim comes in two versions: a regular one with a Blu-Ray drive and a digital edition without a drive. The Slim models are 30% smaller and lighter compared to the previous model, making them more convenient for gamers.
One of the biggest upgrades in the new console is the expanded storage, now standing at 1 terabyte. Additionally, the console has two USB-C connections, a change from the USB-A and USB-C input in the previous generation. Despite these updates, the specifications of the new console remain the same as the 2019 version, including an AMD Zen 2 processor with 8 cores, a graphics processor made by AMD with support for RDNA 2, and 16 gigabytes of working memory.
The price of the console in the US is $449.99 for the digital edition or $499.99 for the Blu-ray edition. In Israel, the 1 TB version with a drive is marketed at a price of NIS 2,349 with one remote. Combined editions with games or with two remotes are also available, with the price increasing accordingly.
