Technology start-up Mater has launched India’s first electric motorcycle with a manual gearbox. The name of this electric motorcycle has not been announced. However, only the details have been released. And the details of when this model will be released are still a mystery.
The price and other details of Mater’s electric motorcycle are expected to be announced at the 2023 Auto Expo next year. This motorcycle has naked style and sharp design. It has LED headlamps in angular casing. Race numbers are provided as graphics throughout its body.
The motorcycle has a host of features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, connected screen remote lock/unlock, geofencing, live location tracking, vehicle health monitoring, charging details, push navigation. It also has a keyless start feature. Disc brake and ABS are provided on both sides.
The new Mater electric motorcycle has a 10.5 kW motor. A “Hypershift” manual gearbox is also offered. Mater claims that it will increase the motorcycle’s performance and provide a range that no other model offers. Along with this, a 5 kWh Matter Energy 1.0 battery pack is provided.
There is no information about the capacity of this motorcycle yet. However, liquid cooling technology is provided with its powerpack. It cools the rotor and stator. Its drivetrain mater has been subjected to rigorous tests at the company’s plant. A 1 kW intelligent charger is provided with this model.
This charger is called MatterCharge 1.0. With this you can charge the motorcycle through any 5A, 3-pin plug point. This charger will fully charge the motorcycle in five hours. It has over charge protection technology. It is also reported that this motorcycle will support fast charging facility.
