The Trichy District Administration has introduced a new software called ‘Trichy Talents’ which provides employment and training courses to the youth seeking employment in Trichy district.
This scheme, which will be implemented in Trichy district for the first time in Tamil Nadu, was launched by Ministers K.N. Nehru and Anbil Mahesh Poiyamozhi inaugurated it on Wednesday.
In this regard, Trichy District Collector Mr. Pradeep Kumar said:
In the recent private employment camp held in Trichy district, 27,000 jobs were required, but only 900 were recruited. Many are not eligible. Most of them do not want to go to work in the outer district and remote areas. Due to this, thousands of jobs are not filled.
So we have developed a software called Trichy Talents to find and inform the job seekers of their respective areas.
2,500 manufacturing companies in the district are connected to it. Not only this, people who need people at all levels like hotel, textile, small business, big business are connected in this software.
808 Appointment of volunteers: No matter which part of the district requires people, through this software, eligible candidates can be nominated. If there are no qualified candidates, they will be recruited by imparting skill development training to develop their qualifications. For this, 808 volunteers will be engaged in the work at the rate of 2 each in 404 panchayats in the district.
Every panchayat has a library. The volunteers will act as a bridge connecting the job seekers and the job seekers using the computer and web camera facility there along with the Trichy Talents software.
It is compulsory for all 2,500 companies in the district to hire 10 percent of the people for palagun work every year. The government provides 50 percent of the salary for this vocational training.
Therefore every company will ensure that they provide job skills training every year and steps will be taken to get the job done for those who complete the training. Skill training will also be provided to create the employees that companies want.
This scheme has been started in Trichy as a model in Tamil Nadu. Similarly, implementation in all districts can create a situation where there are no job seekers.
App launch soon: Steps have been taken to launch the main application of this software from the administration. Moreover, an application for this purpose has been developed and will soon be used so that they can benefit from this program through their mobile phones. He said that this project is being implemented in Trichy as a model for Tamil Nadu on the basis of skill-based search, search-based training, job-based training and website for youth.
