Invest in Teruel promotes the attraction of investments to the province in Valencia

CEOE Teruel gathered around 180 people at the event Invest in Teruel. Uniting companies and territory, which was held this morning in Valencia at the Paco Pons Auditorium – EDEM Escuela de Empresarios. During the event, the speakers highlighted the characteristics and singularities that make the province of Teruel an attractive territory for entrepreneurs, such as Operational Aid, aid for Just Transition areas, unique financing tools, project experience successful companies settled in the province and the relevance of the Cantabrian Mediterranean Corridor.

Invest in Teruel is a project aimed at attracting investments that promote promotion and development in the province of Teruel, diversify the productive fabric and promote the hiring of qualified labor. The initiative is led by the Teruel Business Confederation (CEOE Teruel) and subsidized by the Government of Spain and the Government of Aragon from the Teruel Investment Fund through the Teruel Provincial Council.

Among the attendees it is worth highlighting the president of CEOE Teruel, Juan Ciércoles; the president of CEOE Aragón, Miguel Marzo; the president of the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV), Salvador Navarro; the mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá; the president of the Provincial Council of Teruel, Joaquín Juste; the Minister of Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon, Manuel Blasco; and the delegate of the Government of Spain in Aragon, Fernando Beltrán. In addition, the president of EDEM and member of the Board of Directors of Mercadona, Hortensia Roig, attended the closing of the event.

The event has been well received by the Teruel and Valencian business community, which has served to continue creating links between both territories. The president of CEOE Teruel, Juan Ciércoles, has claimed this link and has pointed out the importance of continuing to work together for the Cantabrian Mediterranean Corridor, one of the most requested initiatives during the event. Ciércoles has also highlighted the relevance of Operating Aid and the need to achieve the complete reduction that Europe allows of 20% of the total labor cost. Furthermore, he explained that through this act it is also intended that businessmen see the province of Teruel as a territory for business development and quality of life.

The president of CEOE Aragón, Miguel Marzo, explained that this event is an opportunity for people to get to know the province of Teruel and all the benefits of the Aragon business sector. Likewise, he has indicated that they are going to continue “fighting” for the Cantabrian Mediterranean Corridor: “We have a privileged location and Levante has the sea, and I think it is an ideal complement so that we can have a flow of goods through this corridor that comes to us. well to all”, he clarified.

For his part, the president of the Provincial Council of Teruel, Joaquín Juste, pointed out: “We have always defended Teruel as a land of opportunities, that can be invested, that can be successful, as we are seeing at Teruel Airport. Just as the airport exists, there are other projects that can be developed in Teruel and that can be successful.” And he added that they want Teruel companies to continue betting and growing and that those of Valencia also look towards Teruel, and he has claimed that for this to be carried out “all the infrastructures must be developed” and he has denounced that the master plan of the Cantabrian Mediterranean is not yet finished.

The Minister of Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon, Manuel Blasco, pointed out: “There are good investment possibilities, which is what we want to bring to Valencian businessmen today.” Furthermore, he has highlighted the large number of industrial surfaces that exist in the province of Teruel to “house those Valencian industries that have interests in investing in Teruel, in Aragon.”

The mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, was one of those in charge of closing the event. During her intervention, the councilor also stressed the importance of the Mediterranean Cantabrian Corridor and the connecting points of the province of Valencia with that of Teruel. For his part, the delegate of the Government of Spain in Aragon, Fernando Beltrán, has highlighted the importance of FITE and the involvement of public administrations in supporting Teruel projects.
