Deadly Shooting at Anderson County Bar and Grill
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of one person. The victim has been identified as Markel Holland, 24, of Anderson.
The incident took place at Simon’s Bar and Grill located at 2907 Clemson Boulevard, with deputies being called to the scene around 1 a.m. It is believed that an altercation between Holland and another man escalated into gunfire, ultimately leading to Holland being fatally wounded.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The sheriff’s office has stated that this appears to be an isolated incident and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
