These initiatives will allow the creation of 21,000 direct jobs, indicates AMDIE in a press release on its Board of Directors, held Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies , Mohcine Jazouli, stressing that the year 2023, in accordance with the High Directions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at making Morocco an attractive destination for national and foreign investments, and supported by the New Investment Charter, was marked by sustained momentum in the field of investments.
AMDIE also indicates that the investments are spread across nine regions and in more than twenty provinces and prefectures, thus promoting balanced and harmonious development across the national territory.
Concerning the development of exports, the new approach adopted by AMDIE in 2023 resulted in the approach of 16 international markets, as well as the support of 340 Moroccan companies and the canvassing of 360 principals. .
In addition, to boost the expansion of Moroccan industry and services on a global scale, the Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Moroccan Association of Exporters (ASMEX) as well as the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), launched the three-year program “EXPORT MOROCCO NOW” for the period 2024-2026.
Designed to meet the specific needs of national companies and cooperatives, whether they are already experienced in the field of exports or first-time exporters, this program has generated great enthusiasm, with the participation of more than 550 candidates.
As part of its initiatives to strengthen the national economy and promote Morocco’s image on the international scene and support Moroccans around the world, AMDIE has intensified its efforts throughout 2023.
Thanks to regular exchanges, nearly 4,500 contacts have been established with Moroccans established abroad, representing a diversity of communities in nearly twenty countries. This constant interaction facilitated proactive communication of economic information, thus promoting effective and fruitful collaboration with the Moroccan diaspora.
In recognition of its efforts, AMDIE was honored at the 2023 “Go Global Awards” in Rhode Island (United States) by receiving the award for Best Agency for the Promotion of Investment Projects for Infrastructure, and was ranked 2nd best investment and export promotion agency for the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) at the Abu Dhabi Annual Investment Meeting Gala in 2023.
Also, the year 2023 was marked by AMDIE’s sustained efforts to consolidate the foundations of its economic model and implement its transformation plan with a view to preparing for the execution of the 2024 action plan.
This strategic plan is structured around four main axes. These are “360° support for new national and foreign investors”, “deployment of the support program for national exporters”, “development of the economic model of the activity of fairs and exhibitions” and “development of economic activity zones”.
