As the Fritzbox manufacturer AVM announced, a Luxembourg investor will join the Berlin company in September. There will also be new products.

The Berlin-based company AVM, known as the manufacturer of the Fritzbox, is getting a new owner. The company is being taken over by the Luxembourg family office Imker Capital Partners, which manages large family assets. The previous founders and owners of the company will remain as shareholders and advisory board members with a minority share.

AVM, founded in 1986, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of products for broadband connections and the digital home. With 890 employees, the company achieved sales of 580 million euros in 2023.

“We have actively and systematically approached the generational change in order to continue AVM’s success,” explains Johannes Nill, CEO and spokesman for the management at AVM. “We are delighted to welcome Imker as a new investor because they share our ideas about the future of AVM. Imker’s commitment is an important milestone in the history of our company.”

The change in ownership model will take effect on September 1, 2024. According to its own statements, AVM plans to grow in the future through new products and increased internationalization – until now, the company was mainly active in German-speaking countries.

Imker Capital Partners already holds major investments in companies such as SAP Fioneer, a provider of software solutions for financial services providers, and Mollie, a payment service provider.
