Investors and traders complain about the import procedures

by time news

Investors and traders in the special economic zone of Aqaba, Jordan, have expressed concern about the continuation of what they see as a “stumbling block” facing their activities, as a result of the complex official import procedures they have to deal with. According to them, these complex procedures threaten the continuity of their investments and limit their competitiveness, which will make it difficult for them to continue their activities in the Jordanian port city.

They emphasized that the current period is critical against the background of the global recession, and therefore the authorities must facilitate procedures for investors and traders and simplify them, especially with regard to the procedures for releasing and inspecting the goods. The investor, Muhammad Mansour, told the Jordanian media, for example, that many of the procedures that have become obstacles in recent years continue despite repeated appeals to find solutions and overcome the obstacles to investment and trade in Aqaba.
