Nemili: Investors besieged and staged a protest at the house of IFS Finance Company Manager in Nemili.
Lashmana Narayanasundaram hails from Katpadi Gandhinagar, Velwar district. He was running a financial institution called IFS in Gandhinagar. Many people invested because they announced that they would get 10,000 rupees interest per month on an investment of 1 lakh rupees. The owner closed the financial institution last month after paying interest to investors for only six months.
All over Tamil Nadu, people who have invested money and cheated are complaining to the police. Jaganathan, 45, hails from Nemili, Ranipet district. He was working as a manager at the Nemili branch of this financial institution. 10 crore rupees have been invested through him. He was arrested last month by the Vellore District Economic Offenses Police after the financial institution went bankrupt.
In this case, the investors, who were deceived by investing in Jaganathan, besieged his house in Nemili today and started a protest. The Nemili police dispersed after holding talks and saying that action would be taken against the concerned financial institution and steps would be taken to recover the money.
