Amani was a popular actress in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industry in 1990s. In Tamil, he has acted in many films including Thangamana Thangachi, Iduthanda Chatam, Samut Seethanam, Honest Raj, Budhiyal. After a long hiatus from cinema, he is now back in acting.
Amani shared his bitter experiences in cinema in the early days. In the interview given by him, “When I first stepped into the film industry, some people talked very obscenely and pretended that it was a joke. Some people asked me to be their favorite model to give them opportunities to act in films.
There are those who say that you should come alone to the place we are telling you. My film career started with Tamil cinema. I struggled for more than two years for opportunities.
When I was shocked that if I wanted to be in the cinema, I had to do everything like this, my mother gave me the courage to act in the cinema without doing any wrong.”
