(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 29 – On 4 and 5 May the rare genetic diseases – Health and Wellbeing”>Telethon Foundation returns to Italian squares with “Io per lei”, a campaign dedicated to mothers of children with a rare genetic disease. At the two thousand collection points, volunteers will distribute heart-shaped biscuits – the symbol of the initiative for ten years – for a minimum donation of 15 euros.
“The determination and dedication with which the mothers of children with rare genetic diseases take care of their children and the daily commitment to making their lives less difficult are a source of inspiration for us and the incentive to always work for find a cure for these pathologies”, comments Francesca Pasinelli, managing director of the Telethon Foundation. “Research is the means chosen by the Telethon Foundation to find effective solutions for these children, so that none of them are left behind, and to give concrete hope to their mothers.”
Furthermore, from 29 April to 5 May, the appointment with the Telethon Foundation awareness week on the Rai networks will be renewed.
The “Io per lei” campaign also sees the participation of the Italian Union for the Fight against Muscular Dystrophy (Uildm), Avis, the National Association of Families of People with Intellectual and/or Relational Disabilities (Anffas), the National Union of Pro Loco d ‘Italy (Unpli), Catholic Action and newsstands belonging to Sinagi. It is supported by Bnl Bnp Paribas and Dhl. (HANDLE).
